MBANK Holds Meeting with Visa Top Management: Key Outcomes and Development Plans

On August 20, 2026, MBANK held a meeting between Maksatbek Ishenbaev, Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC “MBank,” and Sergey Martynchuk, the recently appointed Senior Vice President and Regional Manager of Visa, the international payment system.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for developing digital payment solutions in Kyrgyzstan, the infrastructure for cashless transfers, tokenization services, as well as ways to strengthen cybersecurity in the region’s financial technology sector.
Visa’s top executive described Kyrgyzstan as one of the most ambitious and dynamically developing markets in the region, where the company aims to pilot innovative solutions. The parties also discussed knowledge sharing: Visa intends to bring international best practices and expertise from other countries to support product development in Kyrgyzstan.
MBANK reaffirmed its commitment to its strategic partnership with Visa and its readiness to jointly implement new projects aimed at expanding access to modern payment solutions for the bank’s customers.

He serves as Senior Vice President and Regional Manager at Visa, overseeing a macro-regional cluster of 17 countries, including Ukraine, Moldova, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Southeastern Europe.
