A Revolution at a Single Touch: MBANK Introduces an Offline Payment Technology with No Analogues in Kyrgyzstan

On December 18, 2025, one of the most anticipated technology events of the year — Mtalх — took place in Bishkek at the Technopark venue. The star of the evening was MBANK, which presented unique solutions redefining digital banking across Central Asia.
The event was opened by Marat Toraliev, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of MBANK for Strategy and Digital Development. His appearance on stage was accompanied by the crowd favorite — the mascot Barsik, setting an energetic tone for the entire presentation.
MTravel: Millions of Miles and Installment Travel Packages
Marat Toraliev began with impressive figures: MTravel’s market share reached 60%. In 2025, MBANK clients covered 1.2 billion miles in the air (around 100 million miles every month) — a distance comparable to that between the Earth and the Sun.
MTravel has now become an indispensable tool for business as well (MBusiness):
-
For companies: Direct booking of airline tickets from corporate accounts, real-time expense control, and fully automated, paperless reporting.
-
For travelers: The ability to purchase актуальные travel packages worldwide with installment plans for 6, 9, or 12 months.
MCafe: Plov and Samsas Live on Stage
One of the brightest moments of the show was the presentation of the MCafe service. Right on stage, Marat Toraliev demonstrated how easily the problem of waiting for a menu or the bill can be solved.
Using a QR code, he placed a real-time order for plov from the Navat restaurant. His colleague joined the order after being added in the app as a “new guest” and ordered two samsas. On the large screen, the audience could see the order instantly reaching the restaurant and being prepared.
MCafe advantages:
-
For guests: Split and group bills, one-tap staff calls, and tipping directly through the app.
-
For businesses: A convenient dashboard for order tracking and in-depth sales analytics.
Artificial Intelligence That Learns
While the order from Navat was being prepared, Marat introduced AI MBANK. Unlike traditional scripted bots, this is a generative assistant that continuously learns.
In 2025, the assistant processed over 2.7 million chats in Kyrgyz, Russian, and mixed languages, successfully resolving 79% of customer inquiries without human involvement. It is now available not only in the app, but also on WhatsApp and Telegram.
Notably, right after this segment concluded, the hot plov ordered via MCafe was brought directly onto the stage — impressing everyone with the service’s speed.
MInvest: Cryptocurrency and Apple Shares from $1
The investment sector also received a major upgrade. MInvest strengthened its position as Kyrgyzstan’s first digital broker. Currently, shares of global giants such as Microsoft and Apple can be purchased with an entry threshold of just $1.
A major highlight was the launch of a cryptocurrency platform within the digital broker app. Marat Toraliev invited Sergey, CEO of MInvest, and well-known blogger Kemel onto the stage. In real time, the blogger topped up his brokerage account, purchased cryptocurrency, and transferred it to another wallet — all within just a few minutes.
Marat emphasized the reliability guarantees and “cleanliness” of cryptocurrencies in MInvest, explaining the risks associated with using questionable digital assets.
Main Announcement No. 1: MPay — Offline Payments
The climax of the evening was the presentation of MPay, a flagship technology developed MBANK.
Marat explained that traditional QR payments depend on a “conductor” (an intermediary) and internet connectivity. MPay works directly, without intermediaries and without internet access.
How it works: Simply turn on Bluetooth and bring your phone close to an MKassa terminal or another smartphone.
Live stage experiment: Marat completed a payment using an Android smartphone, while his colleague Almaz paid using an iPhone — both with the internet completely turned off. The transaction was completed instantly.
A special guest of the event was People’s Artist Mirbek Atabekov, who was among the first to test MPay by purchasing a gift from MBANK without any internet connection.
“Honestly, I’m shocked! Has anyone ever experienced something like this?!” — Mirbek shared his emotions.
The Historic Launch of MPay
The final act: Marat Toraliev and Bolot, the Chief Technology Officer, initiated a countdown, after which MPay officially became available across all of Kyrgyzstan.
Following the official presentation, guests were able to personally test the technology by purchasing MBANK branded merchandise for a symbolic fee using MPay.
MBANK once again proved that the future has already arrived — and it is available to every citizen of Kyrgyzstan with a single touch.
