MBANK Recognized as Kyrgyzstan’s Best Bank by Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026

6 August 2026

MBANK has won three prestigious titles at the internationally renowned Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026:

  • Kyrgyzstan’s Best Bank
  • Kyrgyzstan’s Best Bank for SMEs
  • Kyrgyzstan’s Best Islamic Bank

Kyrgyzstan’s Best Bank

The Euromoney Awards for Excellence judges recognized that MBANK’s success is driven by a combination of scale, sustainable growth, and deep digital transformation.

In 2025, the Bank demonstrated balanced growth across all key business areas, including retail, corporate banking, and the SME segment. Retail revenue increased by 38%, the loan portfolio nearly doubled, and the number of customers grew by 20%. The corporate business delivered similar results: revenue increased by more than 30%, business lending grew by 79%, and the corporate client base nearly doubled.

Behind these figures lies a principle that MBANK has consistently pursued for several years. The Bank strives to stay close to its customers through digital services, making banking faster, simpler, and more accessible. Today, more than 99% of retail products are fully available online, while opening an account takes just three minutes.

Kyrgyzstan’s Best Bank for SMEs

MBANK also received recognition for its comprehensive approach to the digitalization of entrepreneurship.

The MBusiness platform combines account management, payments, and transaction monitoring in a convenient mobile format. Entrepreneurs can remotely open a settlement account and obtain entrepreneur status without visiting the tax authorities.

The MKassa service further expands these capabilities by providing a complete payment acceptance solution. Registration is completed via smartphone, while the service package includes card and QR payment acceptance, management of outlets and cashiers, transaction analytics, and an optional online cash register.

The judges also highlighted the Daily Deposit product launched in MBusiness in April 2025, which accrues interest on account balances every day.

Another initiative recognized by Euromoney was She’s Next, the women’s entrepreneurship support program launched by MBANK in partnership with Visa in 2025. Six winners of the business plan competition shared grants totaling USD 19,000, while finalists gained access to preferential financing, including unsecured loans of up to KGS 500,000.

In addition, MBANK joined the EBRD WE Finance Code initiative and introduced a dedicated financing program for women entrepreneurs — Business Women.

Kyrgyzstan’s Best Islamic Bank

The third award reinforces MBANK’s leadership in Islamic banking, which the Bank develops through its MIslamic division.

The judges noted that MBANK has built the largest Islamic financing portfolio in the country along with a substantial Islamic deposit base. The contribution of its Islamic banking segment to the industry's overall profit further demonstrates its commercial sustainability.

The Bank offers a full range of Shariah-compliant financial products for retail, corporate, and SME customers based on instruments such as Murabaha, Ijara, Istisna, and Qard Hasan. These solutions support business development, asset acquisition, and savings through profit-sharing models.

Digitalization plays a key role in this success. MBANK continues to develop a fully integrated mobile ecosystem for Islamic banking, enabling customers to access financing, deposits, and transaction services within a single application.
