Mastercard and MBANK Launch Lionel Messi Card for the First Time in Central Asia

Mastercard and MBANK announce the launch of a unique product designed for football fans and those who value exclusive banking solutions. For the first time in Central Asia, the Messi Mastercard Gold card featuring global football icon and Mastercard Ambassador Lionel Messi has been issued. The card symbolizes the fusion of finance and world-class sport, giving cardholders the opportunity to become part of a global football event.

The new Messi Mastercard Gold card features a unique design with the image of Lionel Messi and an exclusive card number that is not repeated anywhere else in the world. It is not just a payment instrument, but also a collectible product for those who love sport, want to be closer to the world of top-level football, and express their individuality.

To celebrate the launch, Mastercard and MBANK are running a large-scale campaign. Customers who pre-order the Messi Mastercard Gold card through the MBANK mobile application between March 16 and April 10, 2026, will automatically be entered into a prize draw. The grand prize is a trip for two to the UEFA Champions League Final 2026 in Budapest.

The grand prize includes:

  • Two Category 1 tickets to the match

  • Hotel accommodation for two

  • A special gift from Mastercard and UEFA

  • All transfers according to the program: airport–hotel–airport and hotel–stadium–hotel

In addition to the grand prize, participants will have the opportunity to win exclusive Mastercard and UEFA merchandise sets, including branded sports bags, T-shirts, water bottles, and keychains.

The campaign mechanics are simple: each card pre-order is assigned a unique application number in sequential order. Winners will be determined by pre-defined application numbers:

  • No. 300 — merchandise set (sports bag, T-shirt, water bottle, keychain)

  • No. 600 — merchandise set (sports bag, T-shirt, water bottle, keychain)

  • No. 1000 — a trip for two to the UEFA Champions League Final 2026 in Budapest

Residents of the Kyrgyz Republic who have completed full identification in the MBANK mobile application and have pre-ordered the Messi Mastercard Gold card during the campaign period are eligible to participate.

The Messi Mastercard Gold card combines status, value, and exclusivity. The cost of pre-ordering the card in the MBANK application, including the first year of service, is 1,000 KGS. The card is valid for three years. Cardholders receive 3% cashback on purchases made via POS terminals and online, both in Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
